Just be sure to follow the laws and regulations, and always consume cannabis responsibly.

Since June 9th, 2022, cannabis has been completely removed from Thailand's list of controlled drugs. This means that it is legal to grow, cultivate, consume, buy and sell cannabis. However, there are certain restrictions and limitations to this:

  • Producing cannabis extracts that contain more than 0.2% THC and consuming cannabis in public is still illegal.
  • Sales of cannabis plant parts, products, and edibles are prohibited to minors (< 20 years old), pregnant women, and breastfeeding women. Cannabis smoke is considered a public nuisance and thus prohibited in public areas.

The variation in cannabis quality in Thailand arises from a combination of factors that impact cultivation, storage, and market dynamics. One of the major challenges is the absence of standardized regulations that set quality control standards for cannabis products. This lack of oversight has created an environment where producers may prioritize quantity over quality, resulting in products that fail to meet the expectations of discerning consumers.

Additionally, the influx of illegal cannabis imports, particularly from the US, has added complexity to the situation. While these imports can range from subpar to top-shelf quality, the lack of quality control in the illegal market means that consumers are often left to chance when purchasing such products. This scenario not only perpetuates inconsistency but also puts pressure on local Thai growers to compete with the low prices of these imports.

In response to these challenges, many local growers might resort to practices that compromise the quality of their products. From using pesticides to improper storage conditions, shortcuts are taken in an attempt to keep costs low. This, unfortunately, can result in buds that lack the rich flavors, captivating aromas, and potent effects that define high-quality cannabis.

At Cannabear Thailand, we recognize the intricacies of these issues and have made it our mission to be a beacon of quality in the market. Our cultivation methods are driven by a commitment to excellence, and our cannabis flowers are stored in an environment that maintains a consistent temperature of 18°C and a humidity level of 58% - 62%. This ensures that our products retain their integrity, delivering an experience that meets and exceeds expectations.

Our aim is to contribute to changing the landscape of cannabis in Thailand by setting higher standards and educating consumers about the importance of quality. Through transparency, responsible practices, and a dedication to providing a consistently exceptional product, we are determined to reshape the perception of cannabis quality in the region.

Distinguishing between high-quality and low-quality cannabis involves an understanding of key visual, olfactory, and tactile cues. Begin by closely examining the appearance of the buds. High-quality cannabis is typically well-trimmed, boasting vibrant colors, and adorned with visible trichomes. A healthy coating of trichomes is a sign of potent cannabis.

Equally vital is the aroma. Well-cured cannabis, stored below 68°F (20°C), emits a robust and pleasant scent that mirrors its strain. Be wary of buds that are overly dry or excessively moist, as these extremes might indicate inadequate curing methods.

When it comes to consumption, a premium cannabis experience should be holistic. The product should not only look and smell exceptional but should also offer a complex and nuanced flavor profile when smoked or vaporized. Additionally, the effects should harmonize with the strain's characteristics – a well-cultivated strain should consistently deliver the intended effects.

At Cannabear Thailand, we wholeheartedly embrace these factors. Our unwavering dedication to optimal storage conditions and cultivation practices ensures that our cannabis products embody all these qualities. We actively encourage consumers to familiarize themselves with these indicators, enabling them to make informed choices that lead to a genuinely gratifying cannabis journey.

Absolutely. Quality concerns can go beyond what meets the eye. While dense buds might appear visually appealing and even smell great, improper storage conditions (above 18°C/64°F) can create an environment conducive to mold growth. Mold, often nearly impossible to detect with the naked eye, can compromise the safety and quality of cannabis. This is why meticulous storage practices are essential.

At Cannabear Thailand, we prioritize not only visible quality indicators but also the hidden aspects. Our dedication to maintaining a consistent temperature of 18°C (64°F) and a humidity level of 58% - 62% during storage safeguards against mold growth. This unwavering commitment to quality control is part of our promise to deliver cannabis products that are not only visually stunning and aromatic but also safe and dependable.

It's worth noting that even premium, dense buds are not immune to potential mold issues. We once acquired samples of top-notch Athena-grown topshelf dense buds. Despite their impeccable appearance and captivating aroma, upon meticulous inspection by breaking down the buds node by node from bottom to top, we discovered mold lurking within. This experience serves as a reminder that thorough quality control and storage practices are paramount to ensuring the integrity of cannabis products.
